30.08.2012 – A canned heat hour

In this episode we are driving straightforwardly on the country roads. We are flipping tapes or CD’s in the car-radio from Hank III and Marty Stuart trying to save Nashville from its perverted business. We are leaving this city as quick as possible to cruise down the highways to the voodoo Mississippi Delta catching the slide guitar sounds of Mississippi Fred McDowell and Muddy Waters. Those black bluesmen left a heritage that white performers like Canned Heat and Johnny Winter have sustained. The white guys of Canned Heat performing together with John Lee Hooker or Johnny Winter producing Muddy Water, that’s what you can hear now as examples of a black and white party.
